Plot: Jeevandas (Om Prakash) and Shankar (Manmohan Krishna), two brothers, inherit the farmland on their late father Ramswaroop Lal’s passing. Jeevandas marries Bhagvanti (Lalita Pawar), but is left childless, while Shankar marries Parvati (Sulochana Chatterjee) and has two sons, Govind and Shyam. During an accident, Govind is paralyzed in his right leg, while, Shyam leaves for the city to gain a better education. Years pass by and Shyam (Sudesh Kumar) returns back and falls in love with Neelima (Mumtaz). On returning he also finds that his family split in two. The two opposite sides consist of Jeevandas, Bhagvanti, Shyam, and Neelima on one side, while, Govind (Sunil Dutt) his wife, Radha (Nutan), Shankar, and Parvati on the other.
